Picking and packing are core functions in an warehouse, involving the accurate selection and secure packaging of products for customer orders. Efficient picking systems improve order accuracy and speed, while optimized packing processes ensure items are correctly checked, enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining the fulfillment cycle.

Pick 10-20-30-40 orders on the same cart into pre-selected totes (boxes with barcodes), based on parameters that best fit the rhythm and process of the warehouse. It can be based on weight, location, carrier, item type, or similar, which can help define how your batch is composed, and from this, Selveo will choose the most optimal route for the picker. You can even start anywhere in the warehouse and scan a location, and a new route will be quickly recalculated based on your current physical position in the warehouse.
Here, you can quickly pick many orders in a very short time, each containing only one item. You pick as many as you can and want, based on an optimal picking route, and if you want to pick more than the selected orders at the start, you can call for more in your current pick, and a new route will be calculated for you. If you run out of space or time, you can easily stop and complete the orders you have already picked.
You can also choose to pick your orders one by one. This is typically used for larger orders that need to be placed on a pallet, are a bit heavier, or require specific post-processing or packaging before being shipped.
Should there be an error in a pick, the order can be parked in hospital mode, where an administrator must review the order and possibly check the item quantities at the location or in the picked batch. Once the administrator has found and corrected the error, the order is released and is again ready to be packed and shipped.
Once your orders are picked, they are ready to be packed and shipped. Selveo offers a secure validation process to ensure that the customer receives the exact items that were picked. The packer scans the order from the container/tote where the items were placed, and all items must be validated and scanned into the shipping box. This eliminates any packing errors that may have occurred in earlier processes. This way, you always know what was shipped to your customers, and with Selveo, you can always access detailed information down to each individual scan.
If an order needs to be sent with another carrier due to size, weight, etc., the operator can easily do so when preparing the shipment for dispatch in the final stage, without having to spend time adjusting the order first. Simply select a new carrier, and the new information is sent to both the customer and the shop system, saving you a lot of time on administration.
